The core components of these batteries include the anode, cathode, electrolyte, and separator. The anode is typically made from graphite, while the cathode may consist of lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO₂), lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄), or other novel materials. The electrolyte, usually a lithium salt dissolved in a solvent, facilitates the movement of lithium ions between the anode and cathode during charging and discharging.
